2 weeks ago our neighbor brought over a caterpillar in a jar and Monday the butterfly came out and flew away. Then today we were cleaning up around our blackberry bushes and we found 7 snakes. Aleksis put them in a container from the kitchen of course and played with them for a while. Natalie was brave and touched them after her big sis assured her that their mouth was to small to bite! We let them go and none of them got hurt in the learning experience.

We found a snake when we were camping. Actually my dad found it and freaked {he HATES snakes with a passion} but Ben rescued him! tee hee
I was the mean mom who wouldn't let them keep it. Ben was a little SAD, Nathaniel was upset, Felicia cried, Ashley couldn't stop 'petting' the snake & Anson thought it was cool but didn't really care one way or the other. LOL
You should've kept one for a pet. I would've. Good thing it wasn't a rattlesnake, that you missed when you stepped over it.
